  1. Today in english I read about Bill a 15 year old boy in the book. He didn’t know what to do so he decided to call his girlfriend. They had a 10 minute chat. Caid his girlfriend wanted to show him something in Moulton. After the conversation Bill went to scheck on his dad. His dad was sitting behind the computer with a cigaret and a glass of Irish Wiskey in his left hand. His dad is sad because his son Dominic has changed so much that he is now a grown up. Bills dad really liked it when dominic was still a young boy. When bill saw that his dad was sad he started to feel sad aswell. He wanted to cry when he saw his dad cry. But he didn’t because he didn’t want to disturb his dad.

  2. REFLECTIVE WRITING
    As I have already written, I am reading “The Silver Sword” by Ian Serraillier. And I have also written that Joseph went to Switzerland to find his wife, and his children stayed at bombed cellar with other lost children.
    In a year Germans left Poland and Russians came to help Polish people. His son Edek was caught by German soldiers. So only Ruth and Bronia stayed at the bombed cellar. They met a new boy called Jan with his secret box. And nobody knew what was in the box.
    One day Bronia went to the Russian’s post. There she met a soldier and he didn’t let her to go to the officer. So after some days Bronia broke into the post. She met the officer and his name was Ivan. She asked help from him. Especially sugar, flour, pencils, papers and blankets. She also asked to add Edek to the list of the lost people. The next day she saw blankets, flour and sugar near the cellar. After some minutes Ivan came and Bronia thanked him. The next day Ivan came again and this time he brought pencils and papers to children. And Bronia thanked him again. And she said to him that, that day was her birthday and she was eighteen. So they had a party and all the lost children were invited. Fortunately Ivan brought a bar of chocolate and they divided it into sixteen children.
    The more I read this book, the more I’m getting excited!

  3. Reading Log

    Today in English class we read our books again. I read chapter seven in my book called Kid Swap. This chapter was exiting because there were a lot of funny things going on. This is what I found out.

    It started off with Jiggy’s “pretend sister” offering him a rabbit. He gets exited and names the rabbit he picked. Jiggy named it Hector. Jess, Jiggy’s “pretend sister” thinks that he is a bit weird because the Next family never names their rabbits. Also in this chapter Jiggy drops his swimming trunks when he is swimming in the pool with cameras filming.

    I think that the rabbits are for food and Jiggy has no idea about it. He thinks that the rabbits are pets.

  4. Today in English we read our books again. The chapter I read was short but this is what I read.
    The 2 characters in this chapter are Woffle a rabbit and some horrid trolls.
    The story went like this: Woffle got told by Moon-face that someone was killing the tree by chopping the roots with golden spears. So Woffle went down to excavate and he found some mean trolls. He went closer until finally a troll grabbed him and took him prisoner.Will he get out? Find out next time.

  5. Today, at English we read out books again, and I read the book called : "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland". The chapter "The Rabbit Sends in Little Bill", wasn't very long.

    The Wight Rabbit saw Alice walking next to him so he told Alice to bring him his gloves, and ordered her to run home, mistaking Alice for his maid. Alice was curious to see what would happen next, so she ran to the rabbit's house, and saw a strange liquid in a bottle, on the floor. Alice drank the bottle, and grew to a size nearly as big as the house itself. She was trapped inside the house now. The rabbit told Bill, the lizard to go to his house through the chimney, and to see what was going on there. As he went down the chimney, Alice kicked him, and he flew out. Then, the rabbit's neighbors started throwing chocolate cakes at her, and as they hit Alice, she got smaller and smaller, until she was small enough to leave the house, so she ran away.

  6. True confessions of a Heartless girl

    In English we read for half an houragain so I kept reading.
    Noreen *the main character) finally moved into Wesleys small apartment.
    She feels wierd because all she ever does is watch tv while lying in bed or sleeping. She wanted to do something. So she spent one day cleaning up the whole apatment , and went to the store 3 blocks down the road and bought dinner.
    The next day she woke up again and took some money like she did the day before and walked to the Wal Mart 4 blocks down the road. She bought some materials and made a kind of mosquito net to hang over the bed. She also bought some gold and silver pens so she can decorate it with stars.

    She thought that was the nicest thing she ever did !!

  7. Book: The BFG - by Roald Dahl

    I am on a new chapter now and it is called The BFG.

    The Giant has kidnapped Sophie and taken her to his Cave and puts her on the table. When the Giant had Sophie on the table she thinks that he is going to eat her.

    Then the Giant starts to tell Sophie about other giants and what they eat. He tells her that the famous Bonecrunching Giant eats two people but he calls them human beans. The Giant tells her that some human beans from some countries are good to eat, like Turkey and others are not. Sophie and the Giant start arguing about people from different countries. They talk for a long time about other giants names and eating. All the time Sophie thinks that the Giant is going to eat her.

    Then Sophie asks the Giant is he eats human beans as well and if he is going to eat her. The Giant said that he would never eat her. Then Sophie tells him her name and he tells her that he is called The Big Friendly Giant.

    This chapter made me laugh as the Giant uses funny sentences which do not make sense and long names and words. I am really enjoying this book because it is really exciting and fascinating. I want to read more.

    I started the next chapter and Sophie asked the Giant why he took her out of her bed and the Giant tells her that it was because she saw him.

  8. Facing the Demon Headmaster

    I have started reading this book because I have read another book from these series. So I know all the characters and problems they have to solve. The author is called Gillian Cross and has written eight other books about ‘The Demon Headmaster’.

    The book starts with the six friends (Dinah, Harvey, Lloyd, Mandy, Ingrid and Ian) having a S.P.L.A.T meeting about whether they should go to the Purple club party. S.P.L.A.T stands for social protection of our lives against them. Them stands for the demon headmaster and his sidekicks.

    Anyway, they end up deciding to go to Purple club party that Ellie, Mandy’s cousin, invited them to. The day of the party comes and they all get ready after school. Mandy says that Ellie recommends you wear clothes that you don’t care about and bring bananas with you. She doesn’t know why you need bananas.

    They catch the bus at four thirty because it is so popular that you need to get there two hours before it starts. When they get there they find lots of expressionless children just like Ellie.

    It was impossible to miss the entrance; it had a huge flashing neon sign that changed colour every minute. It had immense silver doors.

    The S.P.L.A.T gang soon got bored and were about to go home when the crowd started chanting 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2…1 and the gigantic silver doors opened! Ellie told them to follow them through the crowd and get to the front of the crowd before the doors closed. They followed Ellie through the crowd with their heads down until they finally got to the front. Dinah was scared of getting squashed by the crowd behind her. Ellie said it would be fine and pointed to a boy pushing his way through. One of the men who was keeping an eye on the children grabbed the boy and through him into the crowd. The crowd passed him on to the back of the line.

    The silver doors were closing! The children needed to get in! They quickly walked in and saw lots of different lights and disco music. Suddenly a man called DJ Pardoman walked onto the stage and everyone started cheering.

    The strange thing about DJ Pardoman that his face kept changing to different famous people. They danced for about ten minutes and then it was over and the silver doors opened. When they got out they found themselves sliding around on millions of bananas. They slid around for about two hours and then went back home.

    Well, that is where I got to. I think that there is something sinister about Ellie and the other children because they have got very ghostly looks. It looks like the headmaster got something to do with that. I can’t to finish this novel.
