Jason and the Argonauts
ReplyDeleteToday in English we watched the movie Jason and the Argonauts. The story is about a young man called Jason who goes on an exciting adventure to find The Golden Fleece. I am going to summarise the tale which is a Greek myth.
The story starts when a fortune teller tells Pelias that he will kill the king of Thessaly, King Aristo (Jason’s father).Pelias does kill Aristo and becomes King of Thessaly. Pelias was riding on his horse one day, when he saw a strange woman who scared him. He fell into some water and started to drown but luckily Jason saw him and saved his life. Pelias took Jason to his camp and then Jason told Pelias that he was Aristo’s son and he wanted to murder his father’s murderer!
Jason built a ship and he gathered the strongest men in Greece as crew, to come along with him to find the Golden Fleece. Among the crew was the great Hercules, the strongest man in Greece. They set sail and landed on a strange, deserted island the Isle of Bronze. Jason told all of his crew to only bring back food and water to the ship. Hercules and Acastus, who was Pelias’s son, didn’t obey Jason’s orders. Hercules saw some sheep and started to run after the flock with Acastus behind him. They didn’t catch the sheep but found a gigantic statue of Talos. Acastus saw a door in the statue, they entered the door which led into a huge cave full of gold. Hercules found a golden javelin which he wanted to take back to the ship but Talos, the statue came alive and chased after Acastus and Hercules. They hid in another cave and Talos went to the ship where Jason was and was about to grab the ship out of the water.
We haven’t finished the movie but I hope the story continues to be exciting.

In English we watched a movie, which was called Jason and the Argonauts. I will tell you a small description about it. In the beginning of the movie a soldier killed the mother of Jason, but Jason was protected by the goddess Hera. When Jason grew up he rescued a man which Hera was bulling in the water I think. Jason ran in the water and rescued him. When he rescued the man the man brought Jason to his camp where people were dancing. The man told Jason where he could find the Golden Fleece, but that place was on the other end of the world. Then Jason asked Zeus where he could find a nice boat. Then he also got his crew which steered the sailing boat. When they saw this island they headed to it

Jason and the Golden Fleece.
ReplyDeleteToday in English we watched a movie called Jason and the Argonauts. In the beginning of the movie Jason’s uncle killed his mother, but the goddess Hera saved Jason. When Jason grew up he rescued the murderer of his parents, without knowing that. The murderer told Jason where he could find the Golden Fleece, but that place was on the other end of the world. Then Jason asked Hera, and she told him. He found a crew and built a boat and sailed to the island where the Golden Fleece was. There was a statue who became alive and was about to attack Jason’s crew. I am curious to see what would happen next.

Jason and the Argonauts
ReplyDeleteThe story starts with Pelias that wants to take over a kingdom. He manages to kill everyone but doesn’t know that a baby has been born and saved. His name is Jason. Twenty years later the new king almost drowns and Jason helps him. They don’t know each other and Jason tells the king that he wants to talk to the king to get the thrown back. They arrive to the kingdom and the king says to Jason that he must get the Golden Fleece to get the kingdom back. Jason says okay and starts his journey. He finds a team that will help him and a boat to get to the kingdom where the Golden Fleece is.

Jason and the Argonauts
ReplyDeleteAt the start of the story Pelias is told by the fortune teller that he will win the battle against King Aristo and become King. But the fortune teller also said that King Aristo’s son Jason, will one day save him. One day while King Pelias is riding his horse a woman (Hera who is a Goddess and the protector of Jason) appeared and scared King Pelias’s horse and they both fall into the sea. Jason comes and rescues him. King Pelias thanked Jason and when they went to his camp Jason told Pelias of his plan. But Jason did not know that he was actually talking to King Pelias. King Pelias wanted to kill Jason but he couldn’t because if he killed Jason then he would kill himself. Anyway Jason’s plan was to find the Golden Fleece and bring it back to the people of Thessele so that they will believe in the gods again. Now, all Jason needed was a crew (the Argonauts) so he went around Greece looking for the strongest people. One of them was the strongest man Hercules. After a long time sailing they were all tired and hungry and Jason asked Hera for help. She told them where to go but said not to take anything from the island except food and water. But Hercules took a bronze javelin from a tomb that Talos was protecting. So Talos, who is a bronze statue, comes alive and chases after the ship and the Argonauts. He picks the ship up from the water and then the film stops.

Jason and the Argonauts (movie version) summary.
ReplyDeleteIm going to write a paragraph of what we've seen so far from the movie Jason and the Argonauts. First there was Pelias that was jealous of his brother that was the king, so he killed the brother and the king's oldest daughter, but Pelias didnt find Jason to kill him because he knew that when Jason will grow up Pelias will be murdered by him. Then pelias became the king but he knew that Jason was coming for him, to kill him. Pelias waited, and there he was saving Pelias' life while he was drowning, but Jason didnt know that he was Pelias and told him that he was going to kill him and that he was going to get the Golden Fleece to become the king instead of Pelias. When Jason had a ship and all the Argonauts, he took them with him and went to a long journey. When they stopped at an island the two argonauts found a place where are the statues of all gods then they stole 2 thigs from one of the god trying to get the thiefs. That's all, thats where we stopped.
Jason and the Argonauts
ReplyDeleteOne day, Pelias, the brother of Aeson, went to a fortune teller and heard that Aeson had two daughters, Philomela and Briceis, and a son, Jason. Pelias raids the kingdom and kills Aeson and Briceis. Jason escapes and finds out that Hera, Queen of gods, wants to help him in 5 ways.
Jason goes to get the Golden Fleece but first he gets some of the finest men and a ship.
After that, they set out to go to the Colchis. They first go to the Isle of the Bronze to get food and water.
But two Argonauts get greedy and take some treasure from a tomb. Then a big statue of Talos comes and chases them.
I’m liking the movie so far!
Jason was brought up by his dad who was the king of the city until his brother dethroned him and put him in jail. So the only way Jason could save his father from prison was to make a bet with his uncle that if Jason brought him the Golden Fleece, he would let his father out of jail.
ReplyDeleteJason moved to another town to find out how he could get the Golden Fleece because no one in his city knew about it except for him. He found out that if he went to king Phineas who was the king of an island near by, he would learn more about the Golden Fleece and where it could be found. So, Jason got on his ship called The Argo and sailed along with his crew, the Argonauts, to King Phineas’s island.
Phineas told Jason to go to another nearby island where he could find the Golden fleece but they had to pass through the Crashing Titans to get there. Half way through, they saw another ship coming in when the Titans started crashing and the ship was hit. After this accident a god came up from the sea and held the rocks apart. So, Jason and the Argonauts sailed through and got to the island. Jason, then got off the ship and was told where the Golden Fleece was exactly and rushed to go and get it but when he got there, there was an 8 headed snake in the way, so he fought it and killed it. He retrieved the Golden Fleece and ran on the ship.
